Mommy & her FIRST Weekend Away!

Yep you read it right, I had my first weekend away from my little boys! I have only been away from Gabe 1 night when I was pregnant with Seth, so this was a BIG deal….at least for me! Ha

My weekend started Friday morning! I am so glad that Gabe did not cry when I left, because usually anytime I leave he cries…I guess I prepared him enough with letting him know ahead of time what was going to happen.  I left the house around 9:00 and headed to a Worship Ministry Retreat which lasted until about 4:30, but I snuck out at 3:00 to head to Burleson!  The conference was really good and I enjoyed seeing my friends.  The drive to Burleson went by really fast and my best friend Ena was waiting for me…we could hardly wait to see each other! It was very weird after I had been there for about 15 min, we were standing in the Kitchen and I just naturally looked down as if to see where the boys were and it was a CRAZY feeling to know that they were not going to run in and be standing at my legs! We had a fun evening talking and eating of course MEXICAN food!! I started missing them when I was getting ready for bed, but finally fell asleep and then woke up several times in the night and didn't really sleep very late! Woke up at 8:00 and had my quiet time which was nice and then Ena and I went to Crackle Barrel for breakfast…yummy!

After breakfast I headed to Ft. Worth to see my sweet friend Meredith who is attending Seminary! She has her first apartment and it is so cute! I couldn’t wait to see her, especially when I was use to seeing her once a week! We had fun, she kept me busy which helped me not miss the boys as much! lol  The busy was something I wanted to do too, love you Meredith…we painted her table and dresser and then we painted our toes! We shopped a little…window shopped! :) We had a great salad for dinner, visited and had some great laughs while trying to hang curtains….WE DID IT!!!! JOB ACCOMPLISHED, thank you very much! :) On to the Next thing…ok maybe not, we can leave that one for your dad….I may have made too many holes in the wall trying to hang that one! hee hee We went to church the next morning and then I headed back home…I skipped on the lunch, I was missing them way too much!

The drive back seemed to take longer…uhmmm I wander why….:)

I hugged them like crazy and kissed them a TON…Gabe kept coming up to me and loving on me, Seth kept laying his head on my shoulder and then raising up and looking at me very intently! Gabe said you came back just like “Little Bill’s mommy when she went on that trip! Gotta love that little show!!!

The boys had fun with their daddy and it is good for them to spend time like that together. No ER visits as Todd said! HA, only a little bobo with Gabe…he fell off a swing and scratched his chin up some, but that's it! When I asked Todd that evening how did everything go he said…"The hardest thing was I felt like I was in the Kitchen the whole time, between snacks, meals, and cleaning up.” Ha haaaa Now he reeeeally understands when I say I should just get a cot and sleep in here! LOL

Oh by the way I missed my husband too! ;)

V-Day ;)

Well Gabe gave his first rose away tooooo MIA! :) His sweetheart as he calls her, however this may need to change to princess! I just found out that she has been saying that Gabe is her Prince Charming and she is the Princess! How cute is that?!!!!? Every meal was a heart shaped one yesterday….Heart shaped French toast, Heart shaped P&J, and then Heart shaped PIZZA! Yumm Yum! Seth got a big floppy dog that Gabe named Kissy and Gabe got a small cute little dog holding a heart and he loves it, but I think he loves the chocolate waaaaay more! Ha lucky for us!!!

I got some really sweet cards and loved them all! I am a lucky girl and feel very loved!

I forget to tell you in my last post about the cute animal sounds that Seth can make…Chicken, Lion, Doggie, elephant with a arm motion, and sometimes a cow! ADORABLE! AND they both love to sing and Dance.  Seth dances to any music as soon as he hears it he starts moving!

A little Update on the boys

Seth – Is really changing and has such an adorable personality!  He has entered a new stage in his life…no more nursing!!! He is adjusting well, it was hard for me and him at first…he would pat me as if to say….pleeease mama let me have some!

He can say Night-night, bye bye, Hi, Bubba, bum bum, Mama, dada, Uh-Oh, No-NO and the rest of his little grunty noises are his way of communicating to me and I usually know exactly what he wants! He does the cutest thing, actually he has been doing it for a while now…..he digs his little head into a blanket on the ground or when I’m holding him he does  into my chest and then brings his legs up under him, like a rolly poly! He does it thru out the day, not just when his sleepy! And he just looks so cute cause when he sits back up his hair is all messed up and he has the sweetest smile as he looks at you!

Gabe – Talk about changing…he is growing so much! He really enjoys puzzles, actually for awhile now, but lately is really into them! I am impressed at how well he does! We recently took him out of school again, due to finances (thanks again to mom and dad for my x-mas present  - paying a month for him) , so his last day was January 28th.  They hated to see him leave and all his friends want to stay intouch. His teacher has a gift for him that we will go and get soon. I am grateful for the time that we were able to have him in school, I know he enjoyed it and learned ALOT as well as mommy getting a little break. But it is not a necessity at this time. Gabe has had a few dreams that I guess you would say are  nightmares. One he had was the other night and I woke from a dead sleep to hear Gabe SCREAM, as I made my way around the corner to his room I saw him on the floor outside his door like he had fallen and was frantically trying to get up as if something was chasing him! Poor baby I grabbed him and sat there on the floor hugging him and then got up, got some milk and told him it was just a dream. He dreamt that there was a train at his door way and the train ran over his foot! Oh and the train was a BIG WHITE ONE!   Gabe is full of questions these days, a cute one he asked  recently was as we drove past a Water Tower"

Mama what’s that? ~A Water Tower.~What does it do?~ HOlds Water.~Oh, Can you swim in it?~No it’s like a cup that holds water…~Oh so can you drink it?~ No Well eventually we do

Bubba’s – They are playing more these days, Seth is keeping up a little better now. They play chase and just giggle (which I love to hear), motorcycles/cars, Playdough, and Seth follows Gabe around like a little puppy! So sweet when they love on each other! Just now when I was getting Seth ready for Bed I said tell bubba night night and as he leaned down toward Gabe he said Nigh Night and kissed him!!!!
