PA Trip

Well we headed for PA on Thursday the 18th and my friend Meredith rode with us, she was heading to AL! It was nice to visit with her and see each other off.

As we boarded the plane, the pilot took a liking to Gabe and swooped him up and showed him all the buttons and where she sat, that was pretty neat! Before we even got of the ground, Gabe took a sip of Todd's Spit cup!!!!! ooooooo YUCK! Poor baby....he immediately tuned pale. Todd & I looked at each other and new it was a matter of time, so we made sure we had barf bags! He got sleepy and about 30 minutes before we landed, up it came! Poor thing, he had no idea what was going on. Todd was basically using his hands to catch it, we couldn't get the bags quick enough. We just reassured Gabe that he was ok and then Todd stripped him down...luckily mommy packed an extra pair of clothes in Seth's bag...I just had a felling that I may need them for Gabe! :) Besides that, the boys did wonderful on the plane. Once we arrived and got our rent car we then drove about 2 hours to his Moms! The GPS Todd brought thinking it would be great, turned out to not help, it was taking forever to boot up and kept losing figuration...we both wanted to throw it out the window! Anyway we got there safely.

When we arrived it was dark, but there was a light coming from Todd's moms house and she was looking out the window as we pulled up. Gabe ran to her and gave her BIG hugs! It was so nice to finally see her.We had such a wonderful time vi sting with everybody, it was so nice to see Todd's Grama, I haven;t seen her in several years! She was meeting Gabe & Seth for the first time and Gabe was very lovable to her, which she loved!

During our stay we went to Beth Ann (todd's cousin) & Kevin's house for lunch...we were going to have a picnic, but the weather was yucky. They have a beautiful new home and we had a great time vi sting and playing Rock Star...Good TIMES!

Todd's mom & Step dad have a great place right on LILY lake...it is beautiful! Gabe loved playing with their two dogs DeeDa and Happy..Happy reminds us of MARLY, ya know that movie? Gabe was being pretty "playful" and got a good little scratch on him from Happy. ;) already healing good! It was sweet to hear Grama McElroy reading stories to Gabe, playing with him at the breakfast table and giggling while I was feeding Seth or getting ready for our day. He really enjoyed himself! Granpa gave Gabe rides on his wheelchair, he thought that was cool! Anything with wheels right?!!!!

Fathers Day was AWESOME! We went to Knobles, a Theme Park in PA....it was amazing! What a beautiful nostalgic park! We thought it was going to rain, because when we first got there we had some sprinkles...but luckily it cleared up and it was a beautiful day! It was so neat to see Gabe, he had the time of his life as we did too! Todd's Aunt Teri, Uncle Scott, cousin BethAnn & her husband Kevin, cousin Brian and his mom were all there! We had a blast...wish Jake & Zach could have been there! It was fun being a kid for the day...the rollacoasters were AWESOME! I'm so glad that Todd had a wonderful Fathers Day...he deserved it! He is such a wonderful Father....I dreamed of having a Father to my children as he is to ours! You can see his love in his eyes and how he shows it melts my heart. I love watching him LOVE our boys! AND he is a wonderful husband...he helps me so much at home, even after he works all day. Poor thing, he doesn't get much rest time, from the moment he steps in the door...Gabe is ready and & waiting for him to play. Once he hears that Garage door open, he is getting his shoes on and running thru the house! Not just Fathers Day, but Husbands day too....thank you God for giving me Todd! ;) I am living my dream!!!!!!

Ok so I must tell you about our trip home.....Aghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! So we left the little town where Todd's mom lives around 12:00pm and heading for the airport. We had to have the car back two hours in advance...our flight was departing at 5:25pm. As we drove along and Todd followed the GPS we were no longer on a main highway, but back roads...no city in site (Philly)!long story short....the kids were crying and both had pooed in their diapers and we were were pressed for time! Talk about intense....so our destination ended up in someones DRIVEWAY!!!!!! we were now lost and had wasted about an hour of drive time. Then once we got on the right track we were in TRAFFIC! When we finally got to the airport I took Seth and Todd took Gabe to change....when we met up in the hallway...neither one had pooped, just a bunch of tooters!! LOL The boys did wonderful on the plane, Gabe acted sleepy a few times, but never slept. Once we were in Austin and got our bags, I stayed with the boys while Todd got the jeep.....I waited & waited, and waited...then I started to worry!!!! It was extremely hot and after the day we had I was hoping Todd didn't pass out or something...finally I asked someone to use their phone and they called Todd...he was ok he said he was on his way! Poor thing said he was running allover the parking lot to find the car...he had parked faraway and was holding the panic button down to locate our jeep! Out of breath, he said it's good to be home! Literally the minute we put Gabe in his seat, he was OUT!!!!!!!!!!

So glad we made the trip though, because we had a wonderful time with everyone! miss you guys!!!

"Little Digger"

Seth has been digging as we call it....I remember Gabe doing this! Soon after that he was crawling! Maybe he will be doing that when the boys are here, that would be neat! They just missed Gabe crawling, I remember when they were here that Summer, Gabe was digging and scooting around and then the day after they left, I came around the corner and he had crawled to the front door, as if to say..."Where did bubba's go?"

PRECAUTION

Hello everybody!

Well we had a little scare on Thursday...not just a Tornado warning or watch BUT TAKE PRECAUTION!! A Tornado had been seen close so in the tub we went! Todd had to get Gabe out of bed, poor thing he was a little confused. We just told him there is a really bad storm and we want to be safe. Wander if he will go for the bath tub next time we have a storm??!! Anyway everything turned out ok, we did get more hail! Yepper...we were supose to get the jeep back the next day (which has been in the shop for a month at least) and guess what????!!! You guessed it...more hail damage...ahhhhhhhhhhh! crazy!

Lets see Friday I got my hair trimmed, which was long overdue, considering the fact that I can't even remember when the last time was that I got it cut...oh and I got it highlighted! Now THAT my friends has been FOREVER! I figured hey its Summer and it covers the grey really well...LOL! Yes I do have some grey hair, thank you very much! It was interesting because I had the boys with me, well Todd did come and get Gabe when he was finished working. Gotta love suckers...that kept Gabe happy while I was getting my hair painted, as Gabe says! :)

Gabe has been so excited for Saturday morning so he could go to his 2nd swim lesson...I'm glad he likes it! Todd said he is doing well, I think maybe I will have to catch the next one, so I can get some pictures. They have little songs taht they sing...it's really cute. Saturday evening Todd Agnew was doing a concert at our church...he is a wonderful christian singer, if you have not heard his music just tune into 102.3 the river or look him up online...I think you will like his music!! Todd was asked to be body guard/security...he got a kick out of that! Todd really enjoyed the concert, but I was unable to go...BUT I got to see him this morning at church and even visit with him some. It was awesome and I can't wait to see him again here in Austin! He has a cool sound with a wonderful message!

Today after church I got away with my friend Meredith for a few hours and had a pedicure...I am sure they were still talking about my feet way after I left, since it has been forever that I have had one!!! My feet were not looking to good! LOL Meredith introduced me to a frozen yogurt place called "sprinkles"...OMG YUMMY!!!!!!! It was a nice little break and I enjoyed hanging with my friend. This week will be busy as we are heading for PA on THursday, so I need to get everything washed and packed so I am not doing it all on Wednesday. Have a great week!

Just Sitting around ;)

So......Seth can sit up for a few seconds and then goes into a tripod position! He is changing and growing so fast! I swear it looks like he has grown an inch every time I see him in the morning all stretched out in his bed. He has been eating rice cereal and his favorites are bananas and sweet potatoes...HE IS MY little SWEET POTATOE!!! ;) He pretty much sleeps through the night these days and sometimes he stays up a little late, depending on how he naps through out the day. Only thing that makes it a little hard is I can not get him to take a bottle at all, I have tried the medulla, and Dr. Brown and may try Avent. But then again I may just give my breast milk to him in a sippy cup. Gabe went straight from breast to sippy cup....only he would take a bottle sometimes, if I was going to be away from him. Just makes it hard because there are a few things coming up that I would like to do, but may be during the time that Seth needs to eat. Oh well he is waaaaaaay more important and he is my last one. Speaking of that Todd got sentimental the other night. After the boys were asleep, the nightlights shining, I saw Todd looking down at Seth and then he peeked in on Gabe. In a whisper I said "What is it Babe?" and he said "Well it's just that, this it...no more little ones." Awwwwww I feel the same way but we both agree on no more, but its still hard. We are at good ages to enjoy both of them as they grow older and we grow older! LOL We want to keep up, ya know??!!

Weekend

Saturday Morning Tood took Gabe to his first swim lesson! They met up with some other dada's and swam and then went to lunch...some good daddy & Gabe time!

Later in the afternoon, we went to Lake Austin with our friends Keith & April! It was Gabe's first time to be in the Lake and he even rode the tube with daddy. He got to practice a little of what he learned form his swim lessons. He had so much fun with his friend Jax and enjoyed checking out the boat! I realized how much I have missed the Lake...so many memories for Todd and I...we all had so much fun! Now we will be making many more with our BOYS. Much Thanks for the Boat ride..Keith & April...we love ya! GOOD TIMES!!!! :)

Sunday we went to church and heard an awesome message about Love and Patience. How to forgive patiently, why Patience is important and how so many times we assume we know someones thoughts, when really God only knows our heart. Learn to listen to others and make allowances and treat others the way you want to be treated! We should love PATIENTLY how God loves us. Know that we are all unique and have differences that WILL create misunderstanding BUT we should love one another! We CAN do this with Gods Strength!

This was taken this morning! Gabe has been saying "Going to see Granma McElroy on Airplane", he is excited...so are we!!!!! We will be heading to PA in a few weeks, Some of our family there has never even met Gabe, so this will be a real treat. Granma & Granpa McElroy met Gabe when he was 7 months...Seth will be 5 1/2 months by the time we are there...funny pretty close! It will be an interesting trip...I am already getting things organized in my head of what I need. Once we get there we have a 2 hour car trip, so I need to be prepared, ya know?!! Good Times ahead! :)
